2.1 How do we manage personal data?

Data protection has a particularly high priority in our company. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations and this privacy policy.

The use of our internet pages is in principle possible without entering any personal data. However, if an affected person wishes to use certain services (such as contact forms, newsletter registration) on our website, personal data processing is required. Personal data processing will always be in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (hereafter GDPR) and in accordance with country-specific privacy policies.

2.2 Purpose of the Privacy Policy

By means of this privacy policy we would like to inform our website visitors about the nature, extent and purpose of the personal data collected, used and processed by us. Furthermore, we would like to inform you about your rights.

2.3 Technical and organizational measures

As data controller, we have implemented numerous technical and organizational measures to ensure the most complete protection possible for personal data processed via this website. Our website has included an SSL certificate to increase security. The SSL certificate is used to encrypt the data exchanged over HTTP. Nevertheless, Internet-based data transmissions can in principle have security gaps so that absolute protection cannot be guaranteed.

2.4 Legal Basis for data processing

Legal basis for data processing according to Art. 6 para. 1 GDPR may be the following: the consent given by you (a), the processing of data that is required due to having previously entered a contract or being about to do so (b), the fulfilment of a legal obligation (c). If the collection of data is based on legitimate interest of our company (f), it has to be separately indicated within the scope of the process.

You can contact us via the contact form on our website. If you provide us with your personal data through the contact form, the disclosure of this data on your part is always on an expressly voluntary basis according to Art. 6 para. 1 f GDPR (legitimate interest), which is the legal basis for the processing of contact requests. The data you enter reaches us in the form of an automated email. Your personal data will be used exclusively for processing your request. Your data will not be disclosed to unauthorized third parties. The data is stored until your inquiry or all relevant facts associated with it are finally clarified. Thereafter, the data will be deleted, unless the contact request results in a contract. In this case, we can and must keep your data on the basis of the statutory periods. You have the opportunity to revoke your consent to the processing of your data at any time. All personal data stored in the course of establishing contact will be deleted immediately in this case.

When visiting our website, you are notified that cookies are being used. At the same time, you are informed about our privacy policy and that by continuing to browse this website, you consent to the usage of cookies.

Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer. Cookies are saved by your browser on your hard drive. Depending on the type of cookie, data is stored for the duration of your visit only or for a longer period of time. Cookies fulfil a variety of functions:

They differentiate between you and other users of the same website or record specifics about you, for example your preferences. Moreover, cookies enable an analysis of website usage. Cookies are generally set on websites to enhance user experience. Cookies do not cause any damage to your device and do not contain any viruses.

Every cookie is specific to your web browser and contains anonymous information: the name of the domain to which the cookie belongs, the “lifetime“ of the cookie and a value (mostly in the form of a randomly generated, distinct number).

You can differentiate between session cookies and cookies that remain stored on your device, as well as first-party and third-party cookies. First-party cookies are those which are set for the website that is currently being visited. Third-party cookies are those that are set by external parties (e.g. social networks, analytic tools). Not all cookies collect personal data.

Among others, the following personal data may be collected by cookies:

  • IP-adress

The following non-personal data collected through cookies may include:

  • Browser language
  • Session information

Since we are using Google Analytics, respective cookies will be set when visiting our website. They are used for monitoring anonymised user behaviour on the website, for example the number and duration of visits on each page. All collected data will be used solely to optimise the performance and design of this website. These cookies are third-party cookies. However, the data will be collected in anonymised form and used exclusively by us.

If you generally do not wish to use cookies, you can view and delete the cookies that are stored on your device in your browser settings and generally control the use of cookies. For more information, please refer to the help feature of your browser or contact the support of your browser provider. However, it cannot be ruled out that important parts of our website and the services offered there will no longer function properly if you do not allow cookies.

Our website uses Google Analytics. This is a service of Google Inc. ("Google") for the analysis of accesses to Internet pages and enables us to improve our Internet offers. Cookies (see above) enable us to analyse your use of our website. The information collected by means of a cookie (IP address, access time, access duration) is transmitted to a Google server in the US and stored there. The evaluation of your activities on our website will be transmitted to us in the form of reports. Google may disclose the collected information to third parties where required to do so by law or where such third parties process the information on Google's behalf. The Google tracking codes of our Internet offer use the function "_anonymizeIp()", thus IP addresses are only processed further in abbreviated form in order to exclude any possible direct personal reference to you. The IP address which is communicated by your browser in the context of Google Analytics will however not be used in connection with other data from Google.

You can prevent the installation of Google Analytics cookies in the setting of your browser software. With a browser extension, e.g., Google Analytics can be deactivated and controlled. By using our website, you consent to the collection and processing of your data by Google. A data processing contract between the Pfiffner Group and Google has been set up.

As an alternative, you can prevent any data collection by clicking on the following link. This will set an opt-out cookie, which will prevent all future data collection when visiting this website.

We use the component "Google Maps" from Google Inc. 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 USA on our website.

With the usage of Google Maps, information about the usage of this website including the IP-address may be sent to Google in the US. When you visit a website which contains Google Maps, your browser establishes a direct link to Google servers. The content of the map is communicated directly from Google to your browser, which will subsequently integrate it into this website. Consequently, we do not have any influence on how Google collects data. As far as we know, at least the following data is affected:

  • Date and time of the visit on the respective website
  • Internet address or URL of the visited website
  • IP-address, (start-) address that has been used in connection with route planning

Moreover, a Google font (Google Fonts) which is integrated in Google Maps, is loaded from the Google servers when visiting one of our webpages that contain Google Maps. That way, data (i.a. IP-address, approximate location) is transferred to this server.

With the usage of our website, you agree to Google collecting and using your data in the manner previously mentioned.

If you do not agree to the processing of your data, you have the possibility to deactivate the services provided by Google Maps and consequently prevent the transferal of data to Google. In order to do so, you have to deactivate the Java Script function in your browser. In this case, you will however be unable to use the functions of Google Maps.

You can find the purpose and scope of data collecting and processing by Google as well as your respective rights and options regarding privacy protection in the privacy policy of Google.

The use of "Google Maps" and the information obtained via "Google Maps" is subject to Google's Terms of Use as well as the additional terms and conditions for "Google Maps".

Our website links to our Facebook page as well as to our profiles on Google+, LinkedIn, Xing and Yousty. No data will be transmitted to these pages simply by linking to the respective pages via the icons.

We point out that you use our Facebook, Google+, LinkedIn and Xing pages as well as their functions voluntarily and on your own responsibility. This is especially true for the use of interactive features (e.g., commenting, sharing, rating). We point out that the data collected about you in this context are processed by Facebook Ltd., Google LLC, LinkedIn Inc. and Xing SE, and may be transferred to countries outside the European Union.

The data that Facebook, Google, LinkedIn, or Xing receives and how they are used is described in the general terms and conditions by the respective providers in their data usage policies. You will also find information about contact options as well as the setting options for advertisements there.

You can view the data usage guidelines here:

Some of our internet offers contain hyperlinks to other websites which are not operated by us. We do not monitor these websites and are neither responsible for their content nor their handling of personal data.

The hosting service provider of our web page, webstyle GmbH, automatically collects and saves information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically sends to us, whenever our web pages are accessed. These include:

  • Visited website
  • Date and time of website visit
  • Transferred amount of data
  • Message about successful retrieval
  • Browser type
  • Used operating system
  • Referrer URL (the previously visited page)
  • IP adresses

The temporary storage of the IP address by the system is necessary to allow the delivery of our web pages to your computer. For this, the IP address must be stored for at least the duration of the session. In addition, the data in the log files serve to optimize our websites and to ensure the security of our websites. Logfiles are not used to evaluate the behaviour of website visitors and for marketing purposes and are not associated with other data collected by us. The storage of IP addresses enables law enforcement in the case of cyberattacks or in case of illegal use, because the IP addresses can be assigned to a user through the provider so that they can be identified. For this reason, the log files are stored at our hosting partner for a period of 6 months and then deleted.

The legal basis for the storage of the data in the log files is Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The collection of the data for the provision of the web pages and the storage of the data in log files is essential for the operation of our website. There is consequently no possibility of contradiction by you.

At any time, you have the right to receive information free of charge about your stored personal data, their origin and recipients or categories of recipients to whom the data were disclosed or transmitted, the purpose of data processing, the duration of the storage or, if this is not possible, the criteria for determining the duration of storage and whether your personal data has been transmitted to a third country or to an international organization. If so, you have the right to obtain information about the appropriate guarantees in connection with the transfer (Art. 15 GDPR).

You have the right of adding to, adjusting and completing the data connected to you (Art. 16 GPDR).

You have the right to demand the immediate deletion of your data or alternatively a restriction of processing rights (Art. 17, Art. 18 GDPR).

You have the right to receive stored personalised data in a common format or the right to transfer them to third party representatives (Art. 20 GDPR).

You have the right to file a complaint at the respective regulatory authority (Art. 77 GDPR).

You have to right to withdraw previously made consent with regards to future usage (Art. 7, Para. 3 GDPR).

You may contradict all future processing of your data at any time. The objection is particularly valid with regards to the processing of data for the means of direct advertisement (Art. 21 GDPR).
